I’m quite sure there is nothing cuter, sweeter, or more innocent than a brand new baby. It is such a special opportunity to photograph the first moments of your son or daughter’s life – I take great pride in being selected to document these first days at home with your baby.
Lifestyle newborn sessions are typically shot at your home utilizing your own space and the baby’s nursery. My newborn shoots aren’t the typical shoot you’re thinking of – I specialize in lifestyle newborn images. What does this mean? I capture the newborn in their regular routine, with mom and dad, in the comfort of their own home. I bring a few props (see below) but I really focus on those images that reflect the everyday happenings of your new baby. To understand more of what this means, contact me!
I bring a few blankets, crates, baskets, props, swaddles, headbands for baby girls and hats / suspenders / bow ties for baby boys. I utilize the natural light through windows in your home to create that creamy textured look. One of the most important parts of the newborn shoot is making sure the baby is warm and cozy – this might mean mom, dad, and I are sweating in the 85 degree room, BUT, baby is happy 🙂 I will bring a few necessities, blankets, and accessories, but you can also pick out and have your favorite outfits, hats, headbands, and blankets ready for your session. I want the blanket that your great-grandmother made for your baby or the adorable overalls that your sister bought to make your session stand out from the rest!
